{ポル・ポト
ポル・ポト was a Cambodian revolutionary leader who served as the Prime Minister of Cambodia from 1976 to 1979. He was the head of the クメール・ルージュ, a communist movement that aimed to transform Cambodia into a rural, classless society. His regime is known for its extreme policies, which led to widespread famine, forced labor, and the deaths of an estimated 1.7 million people.
Under ポル・ポト's rule, the government abolished money, closed schools, and relocated urban populations to the countryside. The regime targeted intellectuals, professionals, and ethnic minorities, leading to a brutal genocide. The Khmer Rouge was eventually overthrown in 1979 by the Vietnamese invasion, ending a dark chapter in Cambodian history.
